Blogs are, by their very nature, a glamorized reflection of what happens in our real daily lives. My goal with this blog is about as pure and as simple as blogs get – to pull back the curtain, and tell the real story of my life. No glamour, no attempts to “look good”, and no goals in mind.

I have no idea where this blog is going. I don’t aim to get products to review, sell advertising space, or write a book some day. I don’t even know if anyone is ever going to read this.

Today, I’m beginning my journey. I’ve spent the last 7 years building a freelance business that most people would dream of – successfully working from home, with my daughter running around my legs, my husband a stay at home dad. I had “made it” – whatever that is supposed to mean…

Only to realize that I hate it.

I hate what I’m doing, I hate how it really makes no difference to the world whether I get up in the morning and work or not, and I hate dealing with inconsequential things. I hate not working with people – in real life. I’ve become this sheltered, unconfident mess of a human being who can only communicate through a keyboard.

So this is my journey – from “living the dream” as I know it now, to discovering my real purpose in life. To seeing success with my new venture – a partnership, with my husband, that feeds my soul just as much as my bank account.

A bit about me…

So here is the deal… My name is Cheryl, and live in British Columbia, Canada. I’m married to my soul mate, Darren – and I honestly have no idea how I ever lived before he came around. We share our house with one cat, Bandit, and a dog, Molly.

Our daughter was born into this world August 3rd, 2o1o. Every single day, she makes me wonder how on earth I deserve to be in the presence of something so amazing and so pure that just watching her sleep can bring a tear to my eyes.

My mission in life is to help women to change the world with the meaning we create through our entrepreneurial ventures.

This website began as my personal blog. They are a part of who I am. This is my full, living, breathing self-expression here on these pages. I blog about what I’m passionate about – from my daughter to my husband to natural birth and attachment parenting, to women in social entrepreneurship. Those things are my life.
